Bobby gave Becca a dollar the other day and after she was done playing with it I tucked it away in her jacket pocket. The first opportunity I had, Becca and I walked down to the corner store. On the way there I explained that a dollar is something you can use to get things and that we were going to the store to use her dollar. This is where I should have been MUCH more careful with my wording! I told her that she could look through the store and pick a treat (no specification as to what KIND of treat!) and then all she had to do was give the man her dollar and he would let her have the treat.
Well, no sooner did we walk through the door of the store than she marched directly over to the candy bins and found the biggest lollipop she could find and then marched directly to the counter with her dollar in one hand and the lollipop in the other. I lifted her up and she handed the man her dollar with no prompting, said, "Thank you!" and started yanking on the lollipop wrapping!
