Milestone for Caiden!

Just a quick note to let everybody know that Caiden sat up independently today!!! I counted 20 seconds before he tipped right into my arms. :) I will post pics as soon as I can get him to do it for the camera.

Diaper Buddies

A few weekends ago I looked around and realized both babies were hanging out just as cute as can be in their diapers and nothing else so I put them in the rocking chair and set about getting the perfect picture. Of course, there was no hope of actually achieving the perfect picture, but I thought the whole sequence was more expressive than any one picture could be...here you go!

Toddler Bed, First Tooth, and other developments

Becca recently hit that magical age of being able to climb out of a playpen all on her own...YAY! Which means her crib is no longer safe. I spared exactly one half of one thought to one of those terrible zipper tents you cage a baby in with after they hit this point before deciding she was ready for a toddler bed...so we ordered her up a wonderful one with a lollipop themed bedset. She is THRILLED and has pointed out her Big Girl Bed many times. She also imposed the rule of "MY bed, Caiden No Touch!!" She's been adjusting to sleeping in the bed instead of the crib which has made for some hectic nighttimes, but she is settling in well and we are very proud! One more baby stage she has already outgrown in the blink of an eye.

In other news, after several weeks of chewing his fingers and anything else he could lay hands on to the bone, Caiden busted out his first tooth on Wednesday! He's hard at work on the second one already, still grinning and cooing through his fists. I have yet to encounter the obstacle Caiden doesn't think is best met by a grin and a giggle.

We've picked up a new camera card, so I'll be hard at work this week getting some updated photos for everyone, but I will post one sequence... coming up next.
