Sleepover!
Becca worked really hard all week to have excellent manners and finally won a sleepover at Auntie's house. She's never had a sleepover before so we were worried about how it would go and half expecting to be called at midnight to come and get her. We went over and hung out for a while before she kicked us out and said that parents do NOT come on sleepovers! Well, she had a great night, slept the whole night through, no accidents, and was thrilled to see us this morning.

So Caiden watched the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" this morning, then ran off immediately after the movie was over shouting, "Dagon EAT!" and this is what we find...

Rebecca's Field Trip
Today Rebecca's class went on a field trip to the fire department, police station, and library. On the car ride home I asked her what she learned. Here is what she said:
"If the fire gets out of the fire truck and gets on you, you have to call the policeman by shouting really loud 9-9-1 and then while you wait the librarian will bring you some books!"
I love my daughter. :D

Bowling!
Took the little ones bowling today. Rebecca went with her summer camp class and was very excited to show her little brother how it's done. She sits down all proper, spreads out her dress, places the ball in between her feet, and gives it a delicate shove. After about three or four minutes the ball gets to the pins and generally knocks down just one, in slow motion too.... then she gets to do her victory dance, complete with pirouettes. :D
Well, I really should have seen it coming from how excited he was just to see all the balls around, but as soon as Becca let go that first ball Caiden ran shrieking and giggling after it, straight down the lane! He had a great time climbing on the ball return, catching them before they could get down the lane, rearranging them in the ball return, and dropping them on the floor to hear them "boom". Turns out when you can catch his attention long enough, he is strong enough to roll the ball all the way down the lane!
It was an exhausting trip, but well worth it!

Rebecca's project for the Geography Fair
Yes, the big girl is doing school projects! The school Geography Fair is this Friday and Rebecca has been assigned "The Transportation Methods of Puerto Rico". She picked every picture for this, and can tell you what each picture is and read every word on the board. She also did all the gluing! Can you believe she's not yet 3???

Exciting things to come!
Just a quick update on the big life changes coming for the Webber family:
I am going to start working at Delphi Academy on Monday and am SO excited to be back to teaching. This does mean no more stay-at-home mommying, which is a bit hard to move on from but also means the babies get to move to a new and exciting stage of life.
Rebecca will be visiting with the 3-year-old class on Tuesday and if she does well with the potty could start school as soon as the following Monday! I am very excited for her. She desperately needs the activities and friends and is quite proud to be "big" enough to go to school. Now if only we can wrap this potty training up...
Caiden will be visiting a local daycare tomorrow with the hopes that we can get him started three days a week. He will be able to stay home with Daddy the other two days and have weekends with the whole family.
I'll keep you updated as we all transition to our new jobs!

Updates and New Adventures
Now that I have this handy dandy laptop, I'm going to try yet again to blog on a regular basis. It's been a while, so here's what we're up to these days:
Becca: The big news here is WE'RE POTTY TRAINING!!! She is doing so well with it she spends most days in panties and is getting more stickers every day. Becca is really into projects and especially loves to glue and paint. She keeps the bathroom door decorated with a revolving door of projects. She's got the ABCs down and is starting to recognize letters and numbers on their own. Another exciting development is that she wants to learn to read so I've made her some word cards and she can pretty consistently read Mommy, Daddy, and all siblings' names. Becca adores dancing and loves to put her pretty dress on for ballet in the living room. I'm looking forward to getting her started in a school setting - she's SO incredibly social she makes friends in under 30 seconds whenever we go to the playspace and I think she would thrive at school.
Caiden: Caiden just started speaking this week and the surprising part is he started speaking with full sentences! His favorite is, "I need a bubba!!!" He's also thrown out there, "I dropped my BooBoo" (one of his favorite books), "Mama I poop" and "What Becca do?". He's speaking more and more single words every day too and can now say duck, Apollo (the kitty), diaper, apple, stop, mine, window and book. He's a pretty physical little guy and we're working on the biting and headbutting, but I'm told boys will be boys. He loves to wrestle and roar and especially loves hide and seek. There's a particular corner of the room he KNOWS he disappears when he goes into and it's so cute to see him grinning to himself and wiggling while he's "gone".
The two of them definitely love each other and I consider myself lucky that we have more snuggles, kisses and professions of love than the inevitable kicking, biting, wrestling and hollering.
Now that you're all caught up, I'll try to get some new pictures up here!
