Today is turning out to be one of those days with my child where she is just so enthralled with living life that I have NO HOPE of keeping up!
She must have climbed out of bed this morning without disturbing me, because I woke up to her pulling on my arm saying, "Mommy! Come on! Come on, Mommy!"
She dragged me out of bed and up to the living room where she had laid out a diaper, wipes, and a DVD, all before waking me up!!!
Around lunch time we went outside to enjoy the fresh air and walked up the street to Dunkin' Donuts. She went straight to the counter, pulled out the dollar from her pocket I had forgotten she had, and demanded, "Coffee please!" from the man behind the counter!
As soon as we made it back to the house she promptly stripped her jacket off and ran into as many puddles as she could find. She was standing ankle deep when an older woman got out of her car to go to the store in the front of the building, leaned over and said, "What are you doing, little girl?" Becca grinned at her, started dancing in circles splashing as big and as messily as she could while hollering, "Outside! Dance! Dance! Outside! Mommy puddle? Yes PUDDLE! My happy! Jump! Jump! Bye bye jacket!" The woman just started laughing...after informing me what an handful I have.
After we came back in she was pretty peeved that I made her come in to eat so she hit her brother. I put her in the playpen like I always do, went to the living room and turned on the monitor. Not five minutes later, and with NO noise through the monitor (!) I hear her feet sprinting up the hallway as she hollers, "HA HA!" shows up in the doorway with an ear to ear grin on and shouts "HELLO!" at me. I had no idea she was even close to figuring out how to get out of that thing!
All this, and it's not even 3:00!
