I am enjoying very much the experience of watching my children develop a relationship and come to act like the inseparable siblings children this close in age are supposed to become. Of course, this also involves it's fair share of squabbles and contradictions...
I was in the bathroom this morning when I heard Caiden start to cry from his jumpy chair. After just a few seconds, I heard Rebecca fly across the room and very sweetly start in to comfort him. "Buddy! Listen, listen, listen, Mommy in the bathroom. Right back! No crying, big boy! Mommy right back, hugs!" I came out to find him leaning on her shoulder from the jumpy with her arms wrapped around him. She was patting his back and whispering, "Okay buddy, no cry. Mommy coming, " and he had stopped crying.
Not half an hour later Caiden was playing with a jump rope that could technically be said to belong to Rebecca. She ran up and snatched it out of his mouth and he started to cry. She leans down and says with complete disdain, "You boy, stop crying. Not your toy anyway. My toy, my play. Get your own toy. Stop cry!" turns on her heel and marches away with the jump rope, completely oblivious to his wails.
It is this kind of 180 degree spin that keeps my days interesting!

Evidently he's a wonderful little brother as long as he BEHAVES and doesn't steal toys! :)
It is amazing to watch & exhausting to deal with all at the same time :) We have many instances of Lucy deciding she wants something only be cause Mason has it... But I think Caiden's size will act in his favor. Becca isn't really going to be able to push him around!
